Aquaculturist & Fishery Technologist


An Aquaculturist (a.k.a. Fish farmer, fish culturist, fishery technologist) raises fish, shellfish, oysters, or other aquatic life under controlled conditions for profit and/or human consumption. The main goal of an aquaculturist is to increase the fish production beyond what is possible in nature. The Fishery Technologist tries to develop new aquaculture species, and also provides cost effective and innovative solutions in the field of aquaculture.
