Mental Health Counsellor


Mental Health Counsellor works with individuals, families and groups to address and treat mental and emotional disorders and to promote optimal mental health. The counsellor is trained with variety of therapeutic techniques to deal with issues such as grief, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, suicidal impulses, addictions, drug abuse, trauma, marital problems and depression. Mental Health Counsellor often works closely with other mental health specialists like psychiatrists, psychologists, marriage and family counsellors, social workers, psychiatric nurses and school counsellors.

Career as a Mental Health Counsellor

(Entrance exams may be applicable for Bachelors and Masters Degree in different colleges, institutes depending on their admission policies)
